Choice AU (9: 3,3,3) B1. An exciting example, new to the market. This is a very rare date with only about 200 to 300 examples known in all grades. This ranks in the top 20 examples. The Browning-1 is noted for the large die flaw between stars 8 and 9. The two topmost stars are always indistinct on this die pair. This example is a lovely original piece with just a few light marks in the left obverse field. The reverse is free of significant marks. There are strong die clash marks, as usually seen. Much luster remains and a light gold and magenta tone is stronger near the rims. The history of this coin is rather short. It came out of an English collection that was offered raw on eBay a few years ago, but within the past decade.
