Gem Unc (13: 4,4,5) RB 95%. Essentially a full red coin, but graded RB. This is the finest example graded in this color group. The population has been inflated by repeated attempts at regrading - A 65RD shallow N would be a $50,000 coin. As it is, this is an outstanding coin which is a great buy. Reverse design changes have taken a back seat to the obverse design changes although this is changing now. The 1858 High Leaf and Low leaf designs are now widely collected as regular parts of the Flying Eagle set. The Shallow N and Bold N are both found in 1870, 1871 and 1872. The 1871 is very scarce, the 1872 is a moderately scarce coin and the 1870 is fairly easy to locate.
