Choice Proof (14: 4,5,5). Good mirrors and fully struck. This is a very scarce die combination with the narrow bust design put into regular use in 1859. Only ten examples are believed to have been struck and most are accounted for. This ranks as the finest known example and traces its pedigree to the ANA sale in 2002, where it was graded PR65 by NGC. (Tag included). There are very few marks and no real reason for the downgrade, but with so few examples known, it doesn't matter too much. The important aspect of this coin is that it is one of the very few seen with good mirrors. Most have dull mirrors.
