1955 1C DDO Lincoln Cent PCGS MS64RD
Choice Unc (14: 4,5,5) RD. Outstanding full red example. This is probably the most popular Lincoln cent. It's the one coin that Lincoln cent collectors can show a non-collector friend and get and excited WOW! Nearly all are found in brown color due to their chance issuance as change for cigarette packs in vending machines. All packs in the vending machine were 25C but if they inserted two cents into the packs under the cellophane, you got a discount. The tobacco turned the coins brown. Any full red example escaped the cigarette packs and are a real treasure since most collections have full red coins in the 1950's dates. Also, many coins graded as full red are merely red-brown coins. This is a real full red with blazing luster and outstanding eye appeal.
