Choice Unc (13: 4,5,4) RD. FS-901. Snow-10g: Obv. 18 paired with Rev. T1-D. These are two known dies in a combination that was not previously listed. Very rare with the Shallow N reverse. Very tough in full red color. Very desirable as one of the scarcest dates in the series. The Shallow N is only known on about 10% of the total population of 1872s are Shallow N. Commonly called Reverse of 1869. This is comparable to the Morgan dollar series where the Reverse of 1878 was used into the 1880's. It is part of the regular issue series as such. Only three example are graded full red by PCGS. It is very rare to find this in any mint state grade. This last sold many years ago for $12,500.
