1870 1C Snow-44 (Top MPD) Indian Cent PCGS AU58BN (PHOTO SEAL)
Gem AU (12: 4,4,4) RB 40%. Numerous digits in the denticles. Same obverse as Snow-8. This is one of the top varieties of the date. Bold doubled die reverse, Same reverse as Snow-14. Also one of the top varieties of the date. Together they make a whole new variety listing, Snow-44. This is the discovery example, listed as MS63RB in the book, but that was before being graded by PCGS. I think they were too tough on the coin. I think you'll agree. Regardless, it is a great coin and one of only two examples known.
