1869/69 1C Snow-3e Indian Cent PCGS MS64RD (PHOTO SEAL)
Choice Unc (15: 5,5,5) RD. The very popular 1869/69 with the die gouge reverse. There is a large raised line in the shield and the O in ONE. This line is caused presumably by damage on the blank die that was pushed into the design during the die making process. We call it a die gouge, but it is a bit hard to fathom the die being altered after it was sunk with the design. This is a very popular die pairing and one of the best there is. Only a MS66RD and MS65RB are known in higher grades.
