S-PT1. Bronze, No L. 80% Red. Very close to full red, which is unheard of for this issue. Most are deeply toned to brown, sometimes with vivid colors. These were stored for a long time in envelopes where they acquired that toning. This is the exception. It is very attractive with good mirrors and hardly a flaw. There are a few edge depressions which are found on a group of these that came out of the Abe Kosoff estate that appear to be mint-caused. The die are aligned in the medal-turn. Ex: HA 10/14; Don Kelley collection.
