1858 1C Small Letters Snow-15 Flying Eagle Cent PCGS MS64 (PHOTO SEAL/CAC)
Choice Unc (12: 3,4,5) Doubled die reverse. The discovery coin and the only one known. A reworked die. Many Low Leaves dies show reworking due to the lack of elevation of the letters in ONE CENT on the hub. These letters were designed to be low relief to strike up better, but the lettering proved to be too low and did not fully translate to the die. These had to be strengthened by hand. Wright Flyer collection.
