1/1858/7 1C Overdate FS-302 Snow-7 Flying Eagle Cent PCGS MS64 (PHOTO SEAL)
Choice Unc (15: 5,5,5). One of the finest known examples of this very scarce overdate. The Snow-7 overdate is not related to the Snow-1 at all, so there should be no comparison either in the strength of the overdate or the rarity. There are no die states known for this variety, so the strength of the overdate is the same on all examples. It is actually a 1/1858/7 with a 1 to the left of the date and the tip of the 7 to the right. It is also a very bold doubled die visible on the UNITED. Only two MS65 examples are graded higher. I estimate about 20 to 25 exist in all grades. This example has very few marks and a satiny luster. There is a light golden tone. Only two examples are graded higher.
