1858 1C Large Letters Low Leaves Flying Eagle Cent NGC MS62 (PHOTO SEAL)
Unc (14: 4,5,5). Full strike with only a few light marks. A very attractive coin for the grade. This is the low leaves reverse with a very shallow ONE CENT. This was a redesign made this year to improve the strikability of this design. With the lower relief of the wreath and ONE CENT the obverse would strike up better. This type reverse is usually paired with the Small Letters obverse, so this is a very scarce die combination. Maybe 1 in 50 Large Letters are seen with this reverse type.
