1858 1C Indian Cent / Oak Wreath rev. J-211b PT33 Narrow Bust PCGS PR64 (PHOTO SEAL)
Choice Proof (13: 4,4,5) Very rare with only 9 examples known and one example is in the Smithsonian. Tied for finest known with three other pieces, on of which we sold last year for $7,500. This example is outstanding with very few marks and good mirrors. The coin is a golden tone with a bright area on the reverse. This color variation does not appear to be from anything but storage prior to the slab era. The narrow bust Indian cent patterns are a rare subset of the regular J-211, J-213, J-212 and J-208. All are known by only 10 examples maximum. Here is a chance to acquire one of the best.
