1858 1C J-208 Indian Cent / 5-Leaf Laurel NGC PR65 (PHOTO SEAL)
S-PT28. The Broad Bust Indian head paired with the 5-Leaf Laurel Wreath. This is part of the 12-piece cent pattern set that the Mint sold at the time of issue. This is the rare die pair 3 example. This is identified by the die clash above the N in CENT. Only three examples are known. Although die pair collecting is not widespread on 1858 Patterns, this does have an extra benefit as being a very attractive example and the finest of all other examples seen. Ex: EERC 7/14; Don Kelley collection.
