1787 Fugio UNITED STA, 4 Cinq N-8X ANACS MS63RB
Unc (8: 2,2,4) RB 5%. Newman 8-X. Heavy die break by the sundial base though the motto. There is a trace of red remaining on the reverse, but it is essentially brown. This was part of the New York Bank hoard which was distributed to their employees between 1926 and the 1940's, that is until someone thought to tell the bank they were worth more then mere trinket handouts. The hoard numbered in the thousands of coins and are the main source of mint state examples today.
