Pattern Cents
Here is a super deep mirror cameo pattern. These are very rarely offered with the cameo desiganation and are in exceedingly high demand when encountered. There are only 2 examples in all grades from PCGS with the CAMEO designation (both PR64CAM). I sold the other one two years ago for a price very similar to my asking price here. This is a nearly flawless example with only a few light hairlines to the right of the date to limit the grade, that is, if they are enough to limit the grade at all. When turned in the light the deep mirrors turn to reveal heavy die striations, which are, of course, on the die and are not a grading factor. On the contrary, they make the coin more interesting and further attest to its very early die state nature.
