Grading Indian Cents

Home Is it Good? Is it Very Good? Is it Fine? Is it Very Fine? Is it VF or XF? Is it Extremely Fine? Is it Almost Uncirculated? Is it AU or MS? Is it MS-60 or MS-63? Is it MS-63 or MS-64? Is it MS-64 or MS-65? Is it Red-Brown or Red?

Very Good: VG-8 or VG At least 3 letters of LIBERTY will show. Minimum: Three letters of LIBERTY will show, usually L & RT, but any combination of parts of letters are acceptable. Maximum: One letter of LIBERTY is not visible. NOTES: This is a very narrow grade range. The grade number may or may not be used. {The dividing criteria between VG and Fine is the letters of LIBERTY - any letter worn flat disqualifies a coin from Fine. Cleaned and problem coins should be noted and either discounted or net graded downward.}
