The Lincoln Cent Doubled Die
by John A. Wexler
For years this was the most popular book available to the error and variety hobby. Originally printed in 1984, all doubled dies in the series known by the author at the time of publication are included. The numbering system used in this classic reprint is largely the same as that used by the Combined Organizations of Numismatic Error Collectors of America (CONECA) today. Though additional research has revised some of the listings, most are the same today as they were at the time of the original publication! The original is among very few books cited in CONECA's U. S. Doubled Die Master Listing. Though many, many more doubled dies have been reported since publication, this remains a very good place to start when attributing your Lincoln cent doubled dies and is the only place many of them have ever been published.
