Deep mirrors and very attractive eye appeal. This is one of the toughest dates to find in the Indian Cent series in gem Proof. The coin has outstanding eye appeal. 50% RED. Medium mirrors. Mottled gold and brown toning. Scarce date in Proof. Dies rotated as shown.
30% RED. Mostly a russet-brown with gold flashes in the light. This is a very tough date with only 20 graded with 3 better.
Full red and a true gem. This is a very tough date and very few, including PR65RD's, come looking this attractive.
75% RED. Good mirrors. An outstanding example of this tough date. Shallow N as are most Proofs of this year.
7 & 1 nearly touch. This is a very dramatic variety. Even red color.

20% RED. Medium mirrors. The obverse shows light brown tone with a deep lavender tone around the edge. The reverse is an even emerald tone.
Emerald tone with magenta in the protected areas. Attractive and original, but with some environmental staining on the reverse. Ex: Teich Family collection.
40% RED. An attractive example. This is an unusual Proof as the reverse die is repolished and has no mirrors. Ex: Superior "Hoffecker" sale from 2/87:159. tag included.
75% RED. Deep mirrored with a cameo-frosted obverse. A tiny spot is visible in the feathers. Some light speckling on the reverse.
90% RED. Great mirrors and nearly full red. This is a very attractive example and looks like a cameo-contrast example. PCGS doesn't designate cameo on RB-graded coins.
99% RED. Good mirrors and very close to full red. This is an outstanding example and deserves a higher grade.
