Prooflike! This is an outstanding example of the Flying Eagle type! This is the Obverse style of 1856 with the lettering font used in 1856. The coin has very few marks and could qualify as a 65. The coin has a lovely golden tone as well. In 1856, the mint made at between ten and twelve obverse dies. Five of these were given the 1856 date and at least six were given the 1857 date. The Snow-1 is also a bold repunched date. This is a real prize! With MS65 examples recently selling for $12K to $15K, this is properly priced at $6K. The attribution is listed on the holder. Ex:The Magic Collection.
